One of the bonuses of living in Vancouver is that we're only about 2 hours from Seattle. It's always great to have a nice getaway from the business of life. A couple of friends and I decided to plan a short little weekend trip to Seattle and Bellevue. Bellevue is about 15 minutes from Seattle, It's the cleanest and most modern city (with a ton of tech head offices). With amazing restaurants, great shops (Bellevue Square) and some beautiful hotels, Bellevue is a great place to stay if you're planning to visit Seattle as well.

Our first day in Washington, we ventured out to Bellevue square for some shopping and food, and of course - The Cheesecake factory. Our second day was dedicated to Seattle and Pike place. I'm always the designated person to plan where the next food adventure, and we decided to try out Cafe Barjot. Located on Capitol Hill (with stunning views of the city), Cafe Barjot is the cutest and quirkiest little cafe. They've got a simple brunch menu of various crepes and avocado toasts, and some amazing coffees. The best part - everything is under $10.

After breakfast, we ventured out to Pike Place. We checked out the gum wall, the views of the ocean and the market. (not pictured: me eating the delicious mac and cheese from Beechers).

The cutest streets covered in row homes and exposed brick.

Vanilla Latte's X 4.

Spiced Avocado Toast! yum!

The cafe lets guests bring in their dogs, this guy was such a friendly pup!

I spy my friends walking the street!

If you know me, you know I have an obsession with coffee. These coffee beans were adorable.

So many beautiful flower bouquets at the market.

One of the alleyways we stumbled upon never pike place. I love the exposed brick and greenery.

XOXO, Leanne
